A Yankee in Queen Elizabeth's Court

I am sitting here at my computer and in a state of sheer anxiety! I am set to purchase my airline ticket today, which is the "no going back now" step to the trip.  My anxiety is stemming, not from whether to go or not, but rather WHEN to go!  Now that my trip schedule is a bit freer, I cannot decide if I should shoot for getting into London a day earlier and starting the trip off with a bang by seeing some of the major sites and taking the tours or if I should keep to my original intent and stay the last weekend of the trip there and go out with a bang.

Decisions, decisions!

Right now, I am leaning towards starting it with a bang and getting back home a day earlier to rest before the real world sets back in. Oh heck! Why not start and end with a bang and stay one day in town at the beginning and one at the end?!  Boom! Problem solved! :))

I can't believe that I am finally going to buy that ticket and book my hotel! It's so surreal and at the same time the realest moment I've experienced in a while! It feels really great to be so close to making a dream come true and knowing that with a click of a button and a printer, I will be holding a piece of paper that is proof that I have finally learned how to seize my life a little harder. In a matter of minutes, I will go from wishing to living. How cool is that?!

Thank you to all of the awesome people in my life, both new friends and old friends, who have helped me to move forward. And a special thanks to some new friends in the UK who have been unbelievably helpful and supportive in assisting me with not going into a total meltdown in the last couple of weeks, I am grateful beyond words.

I'm not sure if I will count this as today's project, though having the courage to buy a thousand dollar ticket to runaway by myself to a land far far away does seem to qualify as doing something that I don't do every day...but there is so much more fun planned for today (and tonight especially, woo hoo!!) that I am sure I can find something a bit more interesting to talk about later.

Thank you guys again for stopping by and hope everyone is having an awesome Friday!! Now, if you will pardon me, my fingers have some very important buttons to push!
