NinjaChipmunk turns 200!

I am so excited!  Today, I, NinjaChipmunk, finally turned 200!!

After a visit with my son to the Morganton Festival, I took a quick trip over to the cache "FBC" and was able to make the find in just seconds, making it a very memorable day! Marking "riding a mechanical bull" off my yearly bucket list helped make the day even more memorable, but more about that in a later post I think.

Of course, anyone who knows about Geocaching, knows that what I am speaking of is my 200th find (well, 200 that I remembered to log at least). So in honor of this momentous to myself occasion, I have decided to do a post on memories of caches past.

I think my all time favorite container would have to “Frog Elvis”.

This is the coolest, creepiest container that I have every found!  Imagine wading through piles of Autumn leaves to find a pair of big glassy eyes staring back at you from under the brush! And I adore his little white Elvis jumpsuit.  Bravo and kudos go out to the CO for such a creative one.  He did, in fact, inspire me to make my own little bug eyed happy hide, “Behold the Chipmunk”.  I loved it so much that I think the next time I find the time to do a run of cache hides, I will probably make the theme of creepy woodland creatures!
Another fun container I discovered in Charlotte was disguised as a full bird feeder, but once you opened the top, you discovered that the seed was actually just glued to the glass and the feeder was hollow, except of course for the cache hidden inside.  And yes, naturally I copied this one as well and hid “For the Birds” at my local park.  Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery (or was that stalking, I can never remember).

Now, let me introduce you to a special friend of mine...first cache Piglet.  This is the little guy that started it all!  He was my very first piece of swag from my very first cache.  One look at his handsome little face and I knew my life would never be the same, and on that day with cache number 1, a NinjaChipmunk was born.
