Saturday was certainly an unexpectedly fun day. Having worked the night shift on Friday night
and not finding time to sleep the next morning, I had to virtually force myself
to get out of the house and just do something!
I am so glad that I did too.
I got to spend the first part of my day with family at my
niece's birthday party. She had an ice-cream cake, cake covered in ice
cream...need I say more!
From there I ventured out to the Morganton Festical where I
was excited to run into several friends that I had not seen in a while and
several that I had recently seen but am always happy to be around! I have been blessed to have met some amazing people in the last several years :)
Since there is such an ecclectic gathering of vendors at
these festivals, I figured it was time to start marking some more things off my
annual bucket list again. First up, have
my tarot read by the local psychic whom I am not sure even knew what the cards
meant since her reading was so vague. It
was more of a reaction to whatever the clients were nodding at or
smiling/shaking their heads about. One
thing she sure was talented in though was the whole, “I feel like there is much
more going on here and would like for you to stop by my shop so that we can get
a better and clearer understanding at what is at work here” angle. Seriously, she used almost those exact words
with every client she had while I was close enough to hear.
Next up, time to mark off one that I had not actually
expected to find the opportunity to try...riding a mechanical bull!! Boy Howdy was that fun!! I managed to stay on about 10 seconds before
getting tossed onto the bouncy mat below, which in itself was a fun little
flight! I had to be careful about
holding on and how I landed though since just last week I had seemed to bring
about a hairline fracture of my little pinky finger from trying to mark off
learning to spin on skates from the bucket list!
The afternoon was full of so many more fun and exciting
things, but the best way to top it all off?
Heading out to get my 200th find at a nearby church (which I
posted about earlier)!
All in all, it was a brilliant day full of lots of happy
memories to look back upon. Can't wait till next weekend! (hint...it's my
birthday and I have extended a challenge to who can embarrass me the most!) I'll be sure to post how it goes!
